Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking a Shipping Team Lead for 1st shift. You will manage all aspects of shipping, handle inbound materials, audits, replenishment, and inventory put-away. Hourly Rate: 24.79; shift hours 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Requires 3+ years in shipping, forklift experience, SAP proficiency, and US work authorization.

The role emphasizes 5S/Lean practices, safety, and training new staff while maintaining efficient warehouse operations in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience working in the shipping department of a manufacturing plant.
3+ years’ experience with Forklifts (Reach truck, sit down, Cherry pickers).
Proficient in using SAP – ERP system and RF Devices.
Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and resolve conflict in a professional manner.
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.

Responsibilities

Safely operates forklifts and drives equipment to position trailers for loading/unloading.
Receives inbound materials, verifies shipments, inspects condition, records received items.
Maintains and manages inventory following 5S+, Lean principles, and continuous process improvement.
Follows established processes and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Supports new employee training and SAP system access setup.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
