Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor – 1st Shift to lead daily production operations, ensure safety, quality, cost and delivery targets, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

You will oversee manpower, implement 6S and Lean practices, manage SAP, Salesforce, and Dayforce workflows, and partner with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Planning to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role within production.
• Working knowledge of SAP in a manufacturing context.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and 5S implementation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Supervise and develop a team of production associates, ensuring engagement and performance.
• Champion 6S, safety and lean principles to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Planning to resolve production issues and implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Optimize labor and equipment utilization to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
• Direct day-to-day activities in production areas and manage workload to meet customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and company policies.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes on the production floor.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and reduce waste.
