Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in North Carolina is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead the shipping department at the St. Pauls Plant.

You will direct personnel, ensure SOPs and safety policies are followed, and meet customer specifications while optimizing productivity. You will oversee daily activities, coach staff, enforce safety with PPE, coordinate with other shifts, and uphold a zero-accident culture while maintaining organized docks and storage.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with policy adherence and coaching.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Customer-focused and able to work with external stakeholders.
• Proficient in computer and math applications; fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipping department by establishing procedures to meet schedules and budgets.
• Oversee daily activities to ensure safe loading/unloading and storage.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduced deficiencies.
• Mentor, coach and train employees; provide feedback for improvement.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Enforce safety policies; ensure PPE use and zero-accident culture.
• Keep docks/storage organized and coordinate with other shifts/departments.
• Learn and adhere to any applicable Union contracts.
