Qualifications

• Leadership experience including delegation, planning and conflict management.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written; able to interact up and down the chain.
• Proficient computer and math skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in supply chain or shipping, preferably in perishable foods.

Responsibilities

• Manage department by establishing procedures and adjusting to meet shipping schedules and budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure efficient transportation and storage of materials and safe loading/unloading of product.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduction of repeat deficiencies.
• Mentor, coach and train employees; provide feedback and development guidance.
