Summary

Our Prince George, VA team seeks a strong leader to manage daily operations of hourly associates responsible for receiving finished goods, order processing, production, and shipping. The supervisor must ensure compliance with USDA, QA, safety, ergonomics, HR, and other standards and goals.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly team members, including staffing, attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Perform analytical checks on warehouse functions.
• Develop and cross-train team members across multiple positions for rotation and continuous production.
• Hold regular meetings to communicate quality, safety, and production updates.
• Ensure daily production goals are met according to USDA, QA, and company standards.
• Maintain physical and cognitive awareness of each position within the department.
• Support facility High Performance Work Teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related discipline.

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with industry procedures like HACCP, SPC, and plant efficiency metrics.
• Proven leadership skills and results-oriented.
• Ability to organize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for company business.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• May involve moving equipment and accessing supplies.
• Exposure to wet, moist floors, and temperature ranges from 28°F to 100°F with high humidity.
• Handling product at 25°F to 50°F.
• Exposure to noise levels from 50 dB to 110 dB.
• Use of protective equipment as required.
