Job Summary:

The JBS Pork team is seeking a 2nd Shift Boiler Room and Refrigeration Supervisor. This position is responsible for leading the hourly maintenance team members and overseeing overall plant maintenance, including scheduling, planning, prioritizing work, purchasing, employee supervision, training, and development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures in the plant.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and government programs.
• Direct assigned employees in maintenance work.
• Advise superiors of equipment failures or maintenance needs.
• Provide prompt, efficient, and quality service to production.
• Accurately report and distribute maintenance man hours.
• Reduce production downtime due to mechanical failures.
• Execute maintenance and related work in the plant area.
• Supervise a team of mechanics.
• Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of labor and resources.
• Work with vendors and contractors to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of machinery relevant to the industry.
• Background in hydraulics, welding, and PLCs.
• Fluent in English; bilingual preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and lead employees.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Education, Experience, Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills, including SAP.
• Ability to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Desk work and lifting.
• Frequent visits to production areas with environmental conditions including heat, cold, and chemicals.
• Work 40+ hours/week, including weekends and rotating shifts.
• Possible exposure to slippery floors, noise, chemicals, machinery, and vehicles.
