2nd Shift Fiberglass Production Supervisor

Reports To: Site Plant Manager

Summary

The 2nd shift Production Supervisor will manage multiple departments with approximately 40 hourly team members. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and efficiency. Shift hours are approximately 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with overtime likely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct performance evaluations for hourly team members.
• Approve daily timecards.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to plan production and manage inventory levels.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Monitor equipment and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Track KPIs and conduct root cause analysis when necessary.
• Lead 5S activities within the department.

Qualifications

• Passion for safety, workplace organization, and continuous improvement; experience with Lean tools preferred.
• Leadership skills demonstrated through influence.
• Experience in composites manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience managing multiple processes in a manufacturing setting is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication and motivational skills.
• Decisiveness and problem-solving abilities, including familiarity with PDCA, A3, DMAIC methodologies.

Education and Experience

• Associates Degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
• At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
