Job summary
Corning Incorporated in Concord, NC seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to provide 2nd level technical support for warehouse processes and equipment, including ASRS, Pack Cells, and conveyors. You will assist with inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance, and work with EMMs, mechanics, and electricians.
The role requires a related technical degree or 2 years of experience, a rotating 12-hour shift, and safety training. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Qualifications
- Related technical degree or 2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Rotating 12 hr shift.
- Must certify as MM within 6 months of training.
- Experience with repair tools and mechanical equipment.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Follow safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, PPE).
- Learn and use computer software; MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd level technical support and troubleshooting for warehouse processes and equipment.
- Assist with maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of warehouse equipment.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Participate in day-to-day production with production associates.
- Collaborate with EMMs, Mechanics, and Electricians to resolve issues.
- Train and coach others on processes learned from DMET and Engineering.
- Perform work in accordance with plant safety and environmental procedures.
