Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician in Mocksville, NC to support electromechanical repair, preventative maintenance, and facilities upkeep for production equipment from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.

You will diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform welding and metal fabrication, train operators, and ensure safety, quality and clean, organized work areas. A technical degree or equivalent experience is required; PLC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical degree in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic circuits, PLC, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting (or equivalent work experience).
Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
PLC software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform electromechanical analysis and repair of equipment with multi-functional use.
Maintain facilities upkeep of grounds, building, fixtures and general maintenance duties.
Support routine equipment maintenance elements for safety, quality and preventative maintenance needs.
Assist maintenance shop activity within scope of authority and gain experience for advancement potential.
Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required and on time.
Assure proper documentation and spare parts management for rapid response to problems.
Evaluate equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Modify equipment to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability.
Perform tasks in a quality fashion meeting internal customers’ requirements.
Ability to perform welding and metal fabrication duties.
Follow and promote on-the-job safety expectations.
Train operators on the proper use of equipment.
