Job summary

TraxNYC Corp is seeking a Shipping Room Assistant & Packer at our New York office. This hands-on role focuses on quality-checking, packing and shipping orders to preserve our high presentation and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include QC checks, packing to standards, creating labels, booking insured shipments, tracking deliveries and maintaining organized stock. Prior shipping or jewelry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year shipping/fulfillment experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable with computers; Shopify experience is a plus.
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Able to pass a background check.

• Maintain organized shipping room and safe storage of supplies.
• Keep accurate records of all inbound and outbound items.
• Follow security procedures for handling high-value merchandise.

TraxNYC is a jewelry brand based on 47th Street in New York's Diamond District. We design and manufacture custom and ready-to-ship jewelry and ship orders to customers nationwide and internationally.

The Role

We're hiring a Shipping Room Assistant & Packer to quality-check, pack and ship our orders. This is a hands-on role for someone careful and reliable who takes pride in getting every order right.

Responsibilities

• Quality-check (QC) every piece before it ships: confirm item, metal, size, stones, engraving and finish match the order, and flag any defects
• Pick and pack jewelry orders to TraxNYC's packaging and presentation standards
• Verify each package against its order and paperwork before sealing
• Create shipping labels and book insured, signature-required shipments (FedEx, UPS, USPS)
• Track outgoing shipments and follow up on delays or delivery issues
• Receive, inspect and log incoming packages, returns and repairs, and route them to the right team
• Keep the shipping room organized and stocked with boxes, pouches and packing supplies
• Keep accurate records of everything coming in and going out
• Follow security procedures for handling high-value merchandise

Qualifications

• 1+ year of shipping, fulfillment, warehouse or e-commerce experience preferred, but not required (jewelry or luxury goods a plus)
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable with computers; experience with Shopify or shipping software is a plus
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Able to pass a background check
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

Pay & Schedule

• $18-$22/hour, based on experience
• On-site at our 47th Street office, New York, NY
