Job summary

Amentum is seeking a warehouse/material control candidate to inspect, sort, and process received or shipped items to meet customer requirements. Role involves reading specifications, using gauges, and operating basic equipment under mentoring to ensure compliance with DLA contracts.

Responsibilities include labeling, data entry, and basic reporting while maintaining safety and quality policies. Travel and shift flexibility may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months general work experience; no specific experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain MHE license within 30 days of selection.
• May require travel.
• Must be able to pass Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of material per regulations.
• Visual examination or use of measuring devices under mentoring of senior personnel.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• Use blueprints, schematics under mentoring of senior personnel.
• Load material on/off of skids, pallets, stands.
• Prepare labels as required.
• Prepare basic reports.
• Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties.
• Receive data from and input data to automated systems in receiving/shipping duties.
• May operate material handling equipment (MHE) and hold license.
• Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.
• Make preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment.
