Job summary

Amentum is hiring for a position focused on receiving and shipping materials, ensuring items meet customer requirements. The role involves inspecting, labeling, reporting, and utilizing MHE under supervision, with potential for travel and security clearance requirements.

The candidate should have at least 3 months of general work experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain an MHE license within 30 days. Inert Certification training is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months general work experience which will demonstrate ability to perform requirements of position.
• No specific experience required.
• Must be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection.
• Must be able to successfully complete Inert Certification training requirements.
• Position may require travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of material per regulations.
• Visual examination or use of measuring devices under mentoring.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• Use blueprints, schematics under mentoring.
• Load material on/off skids, pallets, stands.
• Prepare labels as required.
• Prepare basic reports.
• Operate tools and equipment relevant to duties.
• Receive input data to automated systems for receiving/shipping.
• Possibly operate Material Handling Equipment with license.
