Job summary

Amentum is seeking workers to support receiving and shipping operations. Responsibilities include inspecting materials, reading specifications, loading/unloading, labeling, and data entry for automated systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to obtain an MHE license within 30 days, and pass inert certification training. Some travel and potential shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months general work experience, or none required
• High school diploma or GED
• Must obtain license to use material handling equipment within 30 days of selection
• Inert Certification training requirements must be completed
• May require travel and ability to pass security clearance

Responsibilities

• Identify, examine, classify, accept or reject material per regulations
• Visually inspect or use measuring devices under mentoring
• Read specifications and photographs for DLA contracts
• Read blueprints, schematics under supervision
• Load/unload material from skids and pallets
• Prepare labels and basic reports
• Operate tools and equipment as required
• Input data to automated receiving/shipping systems
• Possibly operate material handling equipment with license
• Count, weigh, record data and tag materials
• Perform preventive maintenance on related equipment
