Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Inventory/Material Inspector to support receiving and shipping operations in Ogden, UT. You will identify, inspect, classify, and dispose of material to meet customer requirements, read blueprints and specs, and operate basic MHE with required licenses.

The role requires the ability to work from labelling, data entry, and basic reporting, with mentoring for more complex measurements. Expect variable shifts and potential travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months general work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of material per regulations.
• Visual examination or measuring with devices under mentoring.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• Read blueprints, schematics under mentoring.
• Load material on/off skids, pallets or stands.
• Prepare labels as required.
• Prepare basic reports.
• Input data to automated receiving/shipping systems.
• May operate material handling equipment with license.
• Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.
• Perform preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment.
