Job summary
Aerotek is hiring a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate in Newark, CA. This is a contract-to-hire role based in a fully onsite warehouse with daytime hours (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
You will handle packaging, shipping, and receiving, using RF scanners, UPS/FedEx systems, and data entry to ensure accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities include pulling orders, organizing stock, cycle counts, and collaborating with warehouse and production teams to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- RF scanners experience for inventory tracking and order picking.
- Hands-on shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse environment.
- Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping systems.
- Ability to read and follow order sheets accurately.
- Data entry and inventory tracking in a computer system.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform material handling tasks.
Responsibilities
- Package delicate and large pieces securely for shipment.
- Assemble and seal boxes with accurate labeling for inventory tracking.
- Read and interpret order sheets to pull correct items.
- Move boxes and materials using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Perform basic shipping/receiving duties using UPS and FedEx systems.
- Record inventory and verify contents during incoming/outgoing shipments.
