Job summary

Aerotek in Pleasanton, CA seeks a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and production operations. You will receive, store, and distribute materials and prepare outbound shipments in a fast-paced setting using ERP for records and ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with lift trucks, stretch wrap, packing, and inventory control, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating lift trucks, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move materials safely within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate stretch wrap machines and banding equipment for securing pallets and shipments.
• Ability to validate incoming materials against supplier packing slips and document discrepancies.
• Experience using ERP or similar companywide software systems to perform Receipt of Goods and update inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate physical and digital inventory locations.
• Ability to perform material kitting by organizing and staging components for production.
• Familiarity with production, assembly, and sub-assembly workflows in a mechanical or electrical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Move materials safely using lift trucks or hand trucks to designated areas.
• Wrap pallets with stretch wrap and banding to secure shipments.
• Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments to appropriate locations.
• Inspect incoming materials and record discrepancies per procedures.
• Receive goods and validate against supplier packing slips.
• Perform Receipt of Goods in ERP to update records.
• Put away received parts and update inventory locations.
• Participate in material kitting for production orders.
• Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and staging.
• Maintain inventory locations and keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow safety regulations and quality standards in all tasks.
