Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Shipping Clerk in Streetsboro, OH to support daily shipping and receiving operations. You will handle materials, assist with loading/unloading, and ensure shipments meet customer specifications and SLAs.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment. Candidates should have HS diploma or GED and 3+ years in shipping/manufacturing support.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative/operational shipping support.
• Strong knowledge of information systems, storage/retrieval, inventory control, and reporting tools.
• Very good technology knowledge including computers and software programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication across departments.
• Very good organizational skills to meet deadlines and coordinate work.
• Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs+ rarely.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping/receiving duties for materials, supplies, equipment and finished products via freight or LTL.
• Pack, verify bills of lading, and attach shipping instructions on boxes.
• Unload trucks and verify against bills of lading and packing slips; maintain records of received goods.
• Support manufacturing areas with standard procedures and documentation.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to stage materials and load trucks.
• Assist with load planning to meet delivery requirements and cost parameters.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, customer service, and production to resolve issues.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and ensure security at receiving/shipping dock doors.
• Attend production meetings as needed to coordinate activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies.
