Job summary

Kent Consumer Brands Americas, LLC in Columbus, Mississippi seeks an Inventory Shipping/Receiving Clerk to help coordinate shipping/receiving, maintain inventory records, and ensure smooth movement of products through the distribution center.

The role is full-time and hourly, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork. 6+ months in a warehouse environment, data entry, and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ months in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or other safety-focused work environment.
• Experience with inventory records, shipping documents, data entry, or other detail-oriented administrative tasks.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs regularly and safely perform the physical requirements of the role.
• Experience using computer systems to enter, track, and maintain accurate information.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and following established safety procedures.
• Preferred: Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, WMS, or ERP systems.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and communicate upcoming shipments to support safe, efficient warehouse operations.
• Prepare, release, and maintain shipping/receiving documentation (bills of lading, shipment records).
• Verify outbound shipments for accuracy before departure.
• Receive inbound shipments and post receipts; maintain receiving records.
• Coordinate pickup appointments with carriers and internal teams.
• Maintain driver/visitor sign-in logs and support safety procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve order fulfillment and inventory issues.
• Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and safety procedures.
