Job summary

Embark Recruiting Solutions is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate in Columbus, OH. This full-time role handles receiving, packing, shipping, inventory control, and safety.

You will inspect shipments, move materials, label and ship products, and maintain accurate records while coordinating with multiple departments. Forklift experience is a plus; high school diploma required; factory environment familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling.
• Ability to read packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping docs.
• Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/shipping software.
• Physically able to lift/move materials safely throughout the day.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against POs and packing slips.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials safely within the facility.
• Prepare, package, label, and ship products to customers/vendors.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, and shipping information for accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Enter receiving/shipping information into company systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping/receiving records.
• Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehousing to move materials timely.
• Maintain organized, clean shipping and receiving area.
• Follow all safety policies; assist with general warehouse duties.
