Job summary

Smithers-Oasis, located in Kent, Ohio, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for our Kent facility. This full-time role handles inbound and outbound shipments, leverages RF systems, and maintains accurate inventory while coordinating with drivers and customers.

The ideal candidate has basic math skills, a high school diploma, and at least six months in a warehouse setting, with forklift experience. Overtime and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and be able to perform basic math accurately.
• Six months minimum experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.
• Experience using RF and narrow-aisle warehouse equipment suggests capability with current technology.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments and handle material with forklifts.
• Complete paperwork and computer tasks for shipments, receipts, and samples.
• Use RF system for picking, putaway, replenishment, and inventory transactions.
• Inspect received goods and ensure accuracy of inventory through spot checks and cycle counts.
• Coordinate with truck drivers for dock access and ensure proper documentation.
