Job summary

APX is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to manage material flow, track inventory, and ensure timely processing of shipments in a fast-paced facility. You will work with ERP systems, pack goods, inspect shipments, and resolve discrepancies while maintaining accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized
• Experience with ERP and MS Office
• High school diploma or GED required
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures
• Safety-conscious and proactive in continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping and receiving using ERP system
• Pack goods to meet internal and customer expectations
• Accept and sign for deliveries
• Load and unload shipments
• Operate forklifts and hand tools as needed
• Inspect contents of shipments on arrival
• Process returns (RMA) for defective items
• Create purchase orders for subcontract work
• Check shipping documents for accuracy
• Communicate with other departments to resolve discrepancies
• Keep shipping area clean and organized
• Coordinate transfers to other locations
• Conduct inventory as required
• Report major delays or problems
• Support supervisor with other duties as assigned
