Job summary

SPS is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate in Schaumburg, IL to manage inbound/outbound mail, ship/receive products, and support the on-site service center. You will maintain shipping records, prepare bills of lading, and ensure accurate documentation while delivering exceptional service to SPS employees.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2+ years’ experience, and forklift familiarity. Strong organizational skills and customer-focused mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2+ years prior work experience preferred.
• Forklift experience/certification preferred.
• Ability to work assigned hours as determined by manager.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Analytical abilities and problem-solving aptitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer-based systems relevant to the role.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provides 5-star customer service to all employees.
• Receives goods and verifies quality and count; reports discrepancies.
• Verifies and records items loaded for shipments.
• Maintains shipping records and related data.
• Prepares bills of lading and dray tickets.
• Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies or substitutions.
• Operates mail machines and handles inbound mail.
• Distributes mail/packages and serves as contacts for inquiries.
