Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Customer Service professional for 1st shift (7:00 - 3:30 pm, M-F) handling receipt and shipment processes to ensure conformance with customer requirements. You will inspect items, read specifications, use blueprints under supervision, label materials, and perform data entry and equipment operation as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 months of general work experience; the role may require travel and the ability to obtain an MHE

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months general work experience which will demonstrate ability to perform requirements of position.
• No specific experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of general experience for one year of high school.
• Must be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection.
• Must be able to successfully complete Inert Certification training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of material per regulations.
• Read specifications and photographs as required in DLA contract.
• Read blueprints, schematics, etc., under mentoring of senior personnel.
• Load material on and off of skids, pallets, stands.
• Prepare labels as required.
• Prepare basic reports.
• Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties.
• Receive and input data to automated systems in receiving/shipping.
• May operate material handling equipment and hold license.
• Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.
• Make preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment.
