Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc seeks a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to ensure accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain inventory control, and document shipments across the site. You will contribute to efficient logistics by verifying orders, preparing paperwork, and collaborating with internal teams.

The role requires 1-3 years in shipping or warehouse, forklift operation, ERP and MS Office familiarity, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years in shipping/receiving or warehouse.
• Forklift and material handling equipment operation (certified preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document all incoming materials, parts, and products, verifying against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documents.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry into inventory management systems.
• Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate timely material movement.
• Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages in shipments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area.
• Adhere to company safety policies and shipping regulations.
• Assist with cycle counting and physical inventory processes.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
