Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist on 2nd shift in Bland, Virginia. You will handle incoming/outgoing shipments, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely material movement.

The role requires forklift operation (certification preferred), experience with ERP systems, and strong attention to detail. You will work on-site, lifting up to 50 lbs and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment.
• Forklift operation experience; certification preferred.
• Experience with inventory systems (ERP) and basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Good organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and document all incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments with packaging, labeling, and shipping documents (bills of lading, customs forms).
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records via data entry in inventory systems.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and procurement for timely movement of materials.
• Identify discrepancies, damages, or shortages and report them promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe shipping/receiving area and follow safety policies.
