Job summary

Avantor in Missouri City, TX, is seeking a Distribution Clerk who ensures shipping and receiving documents are accurate and completed on time. You will coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers and collaborate with the Transportation Department to keep schedules aligned.

You will enter data, release waves, verify ASN's, perform quality checks, operate PIT equipment, and help maintain inventory accuracy while complying with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
• Experience with shipping and receiving operations is also necessary.
• Experience with computers.
• Requires good judgment and decision-making ability.
• Communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
• Simple math skills required.
• Ability to operate forklift Warehouse program and software (SAP, iAuditor).

Responsibilities

• Schedules inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations and capacities.
• Coordinates Carrier/inbound/Outbound trucks to dock doors and schedule adherence.
• Releases Waves and processes wave exceptions.
• Identify Replenishment/consolidation Report out/tracker for volumes.
• Create and verify ASN's for receivers.
• Process I-Audit entries.
• Ensures proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping.
• Performs visual quality inspection of all products (Wrap/Strap/Box/Pallet Condition before shipping).
• Maintains good security habits at dock doors.
• Assists in loading and unloading trucks when necessary; operates PIT equipment as needed.
• Complies with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
