Job summary
Avantor is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to ensure accurate and timely handling of all shipping and receiving documents. You will coordinate inbound and outbound freight with the Warehouse and Transportation teams, and maintain data integrity across systems.
The role requires 1–2 years of shipping/receiving experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with personal computers. You may assist with loading, unloading, and equipment operation, while upholding OSHA standards and inventory
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience required.
- Experience with shipping and receiving operations is also necessary.
- Experience with personal computers.
Responsibilities
- Schedule inbound and outbound freight with Warehouse/Transportation Manager.
- Ensure proper labels and tickets are applied before shipping.
- Maintain security at dock doors.
- Assist loading/unloading; operate forklift/crane/truck as needed.
- Comply with OSHA and standards.
- Ensure accuracy of receiving and shipping documents.
- Enter data into systems and maintain records.
- Verify counts on packing lists, purchase orders, and picking documents.
- Resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee pallet control and exchange program.
- Participate in cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
