Job summary

The Pivot Group Network partners with Wayland-area manufacturers to connect qualified Shipping & Receiving Clerks with immediate or upcoming opportunities in West Michigan. This role focuses on accuracy in receiving, packing, and documentation, with a emphasis on safe material handling and inventory control.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in shipping/receiving within manufacturing, proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, and forklift operation certification.

Qualifications

Minimum 1–3 years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing.
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Verify and record incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy.
Prepare and package outgoing products for shipment with proper labeling and documentation.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move materials within the warehouse.
Maintain organized inventory including cycle counting and stock rotation.
Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage or defects.
Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required shipping documents.
