Job summary

CJ Logistics America seeks a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage driver interactions, verify shipments, and maintain accurate records at the Welcome Center. This hybrid role blends warehouse tasks with office coordination, requiring 1–2 years of shipping/receiving experience, proficiency in MS Office, and strong attention to detail.

On-site schedule Mon-Fri, with varied hours. You'll support scheduling, dock management, and customer service while ensuring safety and compliance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years relevant experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic math, reading, and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign drivers in and out of the facility, ensuring all paperwork is verified and completed.
• Assign dock doors to inbound and outbound loads, coordinating with yard spotters and warehouse teams.
• Process Bills of Lading and all related shipping and receiving documentation, maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain real-time door and yard reports for trailer inventory.
• Maintain inbound and outbound shipment schedules using warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate yard movements and dock assignments with the spotter/yard jockey to optimize operational flow.
• Reconcile inbound shipments with packing slips and coordinate drop lot activity.
• Provide responsive, high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Communicate shipment issues or scheduling changes promptly to management, drivers, and warehouse teams.
• Report errors or issues to appropriate leadership to ensure process accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in all required training programs to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols.
