Job summary

RRD is seeking a 1st shift Shipping/Receiving Associate in Illinois. The role involves manual and clerical duties for shipment and receipt of materials, packing to specifications, verifying against documents, and using forklifts to stage and load items.

You will maintain records and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and production to ensure cost-efficient handling. Expected duties include unload/load operations, use of bills of lading, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Administrative/operational support in shipping/manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of information systems including materials tracking and inventory control systems.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use software programmes.

Responsibilities

• Performs shipping and receiving duties for materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
• Checks goods against documents, packs for shipment, and prepares bills of lading.
• Unloads trucks and verifies against bills of lading and packing slips.
• Maintains records and files, supports manufacturing with standard procedures.
• Operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to stage and load materials.
• Communicates with customers, suppliers, and production to coordinate activities.
• Maintains orderly work area and adheres to safety regulations.
