Job summary

Superior's Indianapolis, Indiana facility is seeking a Shipping & Receiving associate to operate 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday overtime.

You will pull orders, load/unload trailers, inspect paperwork, and coordinate with carriers while maintaining safety. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to cross-train across shipping/receiving and inventory.

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

Our Indianapolis, Indiana location is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving person to work the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday overtime.

This position will be responsible for pulling and staging orders, loading/off-loading common carriers and Superior transferred non-bulk freight. Working well with others and the ability to jump in and assist other production areas when needed will be a must.

What You Do

• Review associated paperwork and any special instructions.
• Inspect labels, product name, paperwork, and piece count when loading and unloading product. Notify your manager if there are any issues.
• Pull product samples and submit to the Lab for quality control.
• Label containers properly and secure to closure specifications.
• Daily forklift operation, loading and unloading trailers.
• May be responsible for communication with a logistics company.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required in accordance with the potential hazard and potential for exposure.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, clean operation of equipment and work area.
• May cross train in various positions including shipping/receiving, handling of bulk product, inventory control, chemical packaging, fiberglass handling, tote cleaning, preventative plant maintenance, and/or yard truck spotting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong safety mindset
• Must have effective verbal and written skills, enabling clear and strong interactions with co-workers, chemists, administrative staff, delivery personnel, and management.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs
