Job summary

Superior Industrial Solutions in Indianapolis, Indiana, is hiring for a Shipping & Receiving role on 1st shift (7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday overtime). This position pulls and stages orders, loads/off-loads common carriers, and supports production as needed.

You will inspect paperwork and labels, perform quality checks, and operate a forklift daily while maintaining safety and accuracy. Must lift up to 55 lbs and communicate clearly with teammates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a strong safety mindset to work in a chemical/industrial environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with co-workers, chemists, administrative staff, and management.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Review associated paperwork and any special instructions.
• Inspect labels, product name, paperwork, and piece count when loading and unloading product.
• Pull product samples and submit to the Lab for quality control.
• Label containers properly and secure to closure specifications.
• Daily forklift operation, loading and unloading trailers.
• May communicate with a logistics company as needed.
• PPE required according to hazard and exposure potential.
• Maintain a safe, clean operation of equipment and work area.
• Cross-train in shipping/receiving and related tasks when needed.

We’re Looking For

Our Indianapolis, Indiana location is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving person to work the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday overtime.

This position will be responsible for pulling and staging orders, loading/off-loading common carriers and Superior transferred non-bulk freight. Working well with others and the ability to jump in and assist other production areas when needed will be a must.

What You Do

• Pull product samples and submit to the Lab for quality control.
• Label containers properly and secure to closure specifications.
• Daily forklift operation, loading and unloading trailers.
• May be responsible for communication with a logistics company.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required in accordance with the potential hazard and potential for exposure.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, clean operation of equipment and work area.
• May cross train in various positions including shipping/receiving, handling of bulk product, inventory control, chemical packaging, fiberglass handling, tote cleaning, preventative plant maintenance, and/or yard truck spotting.
