Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity in Shipping and Receiving for a 1st shift position in Racine, WI. Wage is $25.00/hour with potential to hire after the 1st shift period.

The role includes inspecting shipments, assembling and packaging products, handling shipping paperwork, and using UPS software and other shipping tools. Forklift training is required or provided, and a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

Position Title

Shipping and Receiving Wage: $25.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm Feeling underpaid or undervalued? This could be the position that you deserve! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available in Shipping and Receiving at a company in Racine, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift.

Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities

• Inspect shipments to ensure they conform to customer requirements
• Verify boxes, containers, and skids are stable, properly packaged, and securely sealed for shipment
• Assemble and package products according to established specifications
• Review shipments for accurate documentation, labeling and packaging
• Communicate and work with staff to resolve shipment-related issues
• Select the appropriate method of transportation, including UPS, FedEx, or LTL
• Ensure required shipping documents are complete and included with shipment paperwork before filing
• Communicate shipping discrepancies to Customer Service and Sales
• Create and apply shipping labels using shipping software and customer-specific requirements
• Use UPS shipping software for outbound shipments
• Create barcodes and labels based on customer specifications. Training will be provided
• Follow all company safety rules, policies, and regulations
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe inventory and storage areas
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements for Shipping and Receiving

• 1-2 years of warehouse or shipping experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Must successfully complete forklift operator training
• Basic computer skills required; experience with shipping software is preferred
• Familiarity with UPS shipping software is preferred
• Ability to accurately read and understand instructions, packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping documents
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using units of weight and length
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds occasionally
