Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity in Production Receiving in Waukegan, IL. This potential-to-hire role is on 1st shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm, paying $15.00/hour. You will receive, inspect, and record materials, label and store items, and support shipping as needed.

Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, can lift up to 40 lbs, and maintain accurate records with good communication. Overtime may be required and safety rules must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming materials from suppliers or internal departments.
• Inspect materials for quality, accuracy, and specification compliance.
• Verify received quantities against purchase orders or shipping docs.
• Record incoming materials in NetSuite or designated systems.
• Label, store and organize materials in designated areas.
• Notify personnel of discrepancies, damages, or quality issues.
• Collaborate with purchasing and production to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe receiving area.
• Assist in shipping activities and cover lead absences as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.

• Record all incoming materials in NetSuite or designated inventory systems
• Label, store and organize materials in designated areas
• Notify relevant personnel of any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues
• Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to resolve delivery or quality issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area
• Assist in shipping activities and fulfill additional responsibilities during lead absences
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while performing duties

Requirements for Production Receiving:

• Prior experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 lbs) regularly
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and proper handling procedures
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed
