Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for Shipping and Receiving in Racine, WI. This is a potential to hire, 1st shift, 7:00am–3:00pm with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, packaging, labeling, and maintaining inventory while following safety rules. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of warehouse/shipping experience, a valid driver's license, forklift training, and proficiency with shipping software such as UPS shipping software.

Position Title: Shipping and Receiving

Wage: $25.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available in Shipping and Receiving at a company in Racine, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift.

Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:

• Inspect shipments to ensure they conform to customer requirements
• Verify boxes, containers, and skids are stable, properly packaged, and securely sealed for shipment
• Assemble and package products according to established specifications
• Review shipments for accurate documentation, labeling and packaging
• Communicate and work with staff to resolve shipment-related issues
• Select the appropriate method of transportation, including UPS, FedEx, or LTL
• Ensure required shipping documents are complete and included with shipment paperwork before filing
• Communicate shipping discrepancies to Customer Service and Sales
• Create and apply shipping labels using shipping software and customer-specific requirements
• Use UPS shipping software for outbound shipments
• Create barcodes and labels based on customer specifications. Training will be provided
• Follow all company safety rules, policies, and regulations
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe inventory and storage areas
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements for Shipping and Receiving:

• 1-2 years of warehouse or shipping experience preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Must successfully complete forklift operator training
• Basic computer skills required; experience with shipping software is preferred
• Familiarity with UPS shipping software is preferred
• Ability to accurately read and understand instructions, packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping documents
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using units of weight and length
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds occasionally
