Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to organize and supervise our shipping/receiving activities in the Oklahoma area. The role requires coordinating priorities, ensuring accuracy of shipments, and maintaining compliance with export/import regulations and AES filings.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree and at least two years of related or supervisory experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in applicable field is required.
• 2 or more years related experience and/or training; supervisory experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities and methods.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Ensure compliance with all export/import laws, tariffs and duties; licenses and restrictions; AES filings.
• Monitor space requirements within shipping and receiving areas.
• Inspect material handling equipment or defects and notify maintenance personnel.
• Direct movement of inbound shipments from receiving platform to processing and distribution.
• Run and analyze weekly reports to ensure work is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate materials receipts or shipments with other Materials departments.
• Maintain records on outbound shipments, delivery verification and shipping charges.
• Request quotes for shipping to obtain best cost savings for the company.
• Issue written and oral instructions and document procedures.
