Job summary
R&M Manufacturing in Buffalo, MN is seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee daily shipping operations and lead the shipping team. The role focuses on timely, accurate shipments, safe handling, and adherence to documented processes while coordinating with production and customer service.
You will train new shipping associates, manage packing and labeling, and identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced sheet metal fabrication environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with shipping, receiving and warehouse activities.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily shipping operations and assign work to shipping associates.
- Coordinate with Production Scheduling, Customer Service, and Production to confirm order status and expedite shipments.
- Schedule LTL, truckload, and parcel pickups; communicate with carriers on pickup times, delays, and freight issues.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and customer paperwork.
- Process shipments in the ERP/shipping system and ensure inventory transactions are accurate.
