Job summary
UTEX Industries is seeking a Shipping Lead to coordinate daily shipping operations, ensure orders are prepared, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. This hands-on leadership role includes guiding Shipping Clerks, monitoring order accuracy, and communicating priorities across departments.
You will work closely with the Shipping Supervisor, support day-to-day shipping activities, and help maintain inventory accuracy while upholding safety and quality standards in a manufacturing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
- 3+ years of shipping, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Previous lead or training experience preferred.
- Experience with shipping documentation, freight coordination, and inventory transactions preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritize daily shipping workload and scheduled shipments.
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to Shipping Clerks.
- Assist with scheduling freight, carrier pickups, and outbound shipments.
- Verify orders, quantities, packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Prepare and review bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and related documentation.
- Train and cross-train employees on shipping processes, systems, and safety procedures.
