Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Shipping Lead for 1st shift based in Cartersville, GA. You will supervise shipping subprocesses, load goods, manage inventory, and ensure safe, accurate distribution to customers.

Prior shipping or receiving experience and the ability to read a tape measure are required. You’ll report to the Shipping Supervisor, collaborate across departments, and support lean manufacturing initiatives while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Two years of shipping/receiving experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of subordinates in shipping.
• Load materials onto trucks safely and accurately.
• Maintain and locate inventory for production orders.
• Document shipments and material disposition.
• Participate in Atkore safety programs and continuous improvement.
