Job summary

Central Valley Meat Co. is seeking an Inventory/Internal Customer Service Clerk (Shipping Specialist) in Hanford, CA to coordinate outbound shipments, verify documents, and maintain accurate inventory records.

You will work with warehouse, production and logistics partners, prepare reports, enter data, and help ensure on-time deliveries while complying with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience in logistics, inventory, or shipping.
• Experience in customer service, shipping, inventory or logistics coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with spreadsheets, inventory systems, and report generation.
• Experience with ERP systems for inventory and BOL purposes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve independently.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently.
• Must be able to work a weekly rotating schedule between morning and afternoons and work Saturday in rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods.
• Verify and reconcile shipping documents, including sales orders, packing slips, and invoices for all our entities.
• Monitor finished product inventory and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Maintain accurate records of all outbound shipments and ensure proper filing and retention of documentation.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse staff, production teams, and third-party logistics providers to address issues and streamline shipping operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly shipping and inventory reports.
• Identify and communicate delays, damages, or shipment issues to the appropriate parties.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Accurately and efficiently enter data related to shipments and inventory into internal tracking systems.
• Reconcile US Cold Storage receipts with inbound paperwork.
• Create receiving purchase orders (PO's) and orders as needed.
• Answer phone calls and assist with related inquiries.
• Other job duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
