Job summary

PSG California is seeking a logistics professional to coordinate material movement and shipments, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD/OTIF) and supporting export documentation. The role requires high school diploma and experience with export shipping and freight coordination.

Responsibilities include handling expedit es, quoting freight, filing claims, and ensuring compliance with AES/EEI and HTS regulations, while collaborating with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Export shipping documentation experience required.
  • Experience shipping international shipments.
  • Coordination with freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Shipping small parcel and LTL freight shipments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of expedit es and hot order shipments daily.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely shipments.
  • Provide domestic and international freight quotes to the Customer Service Team.
  • File claims for missing shipments and damage with carriers.
  • Support Logistics in investigating corrective actions with Quality.
  • Assist export documentation processes for international shipments.
  • Review export paperwork for customs clearance worldwide.
  • Prepare documents: FI, CI, SLI, Packing List.
  • Audit weights and HTS; ensure EEI filings are compliant.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders and provide export docs.
  • File AES documents and scanned BOLs; manage GT-Export email.
  • Coordinate with internal customers service and shipping teams.
  • Maintain recordkeeping and regulatory due diligence.
  • Follow safety rules and promote 5S; overtime/weekend as needed.

Job description

Responsible in coordinating the movement of materials and shipments through the various departments of PSG California to ensure the highest level of OTD and OTIF, while also supporting the Export Documentation Clerk team as needed.

Education:

Experience
  • Export shipping documentation required
  • Shipping international shipments required
  • Coordinating with freight forwarders and carriers required
  • Shipping small parcel and LTL freight shipments
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Capable of problem solving, troubleshooting and properly escalating issues as needed
  • Ability to effectively communicate, prioritize and coordinate with internal and external customers in a professional manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Oracle or any ERP system required
  • Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Taking ownership of the expedites and hot order shipments each day
  • Investigating, coordinating, and following up with various departments to ensure shipments are produced and leave our facility in a timely manner
  • Providing domestic and international freight quotes to the Customer Service Team
  • Responsible for the filing of claims for missing shipments and damage claims with carriers
  • Support the Logistics Team in investigating corrective actions issues by the Quality Team
  • Assist with executing PSG California’s export operational processes and procedures for international export shipping documentation as needed
  • Generate and review all functions of the export paperwork process to ensure accuracy for custom’s clearance in countries all over the world
  • Generating of international paperwork: to include Financial Invoices (FI), Commercial Invoices (CI), Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI), Packing List
  • Auditing and verifying the net and gross weights along with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
  • Communicating with freight forwarders and providing all international export documentation with the shipments before it leaves the PSG California facility
  • Follow up with freight forwarders to obtain the Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings to ensure we are within compliance
  • Filing of Automated Export System (AES) documents
  • Filing of scanned and signed BOLs
  • Maintaining the company’s GT-Export Team email account
  • Reviewing, filing, and organizing with the current systems in place
  • Downloading and filing reports from the internal database
  • Coordinate and support with the internal customers service and shipping/logistics teams
  • Assists in the maintenance of appropriate recordkeeping and due diligence in accordance with all governing regulatory requirements
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations and promote 5S
  • Flexible to work overtime and occasional Saturdays when required
  • Performs all other duties assigned
