Job summary

Pure Flavor in Romulus, MI is seeking a Document Technician (Shipping Clerk) to ensure accurate billing and traceability of all product shipped from the distribution center. You will track orders, coordinate with warehouse staff, and verify paperwork and packaging are complete and compliant with GMPS and SOPs.

Responsibilities include data entry in FAMOUS®, generating pick tickets and BOLs, and communicating variances to supervisors while maintaining confidential information and supporting

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Post-secondary education in a business discipline or a post graduate certificate preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in record management in the produce industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, and Food Safety.
• Experience with ERP software FAMOUS® preferred.
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite software experience is required.
• Numeric literacy, math and problem-solving skills required.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; provide leadership when needed.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and recordkeeping, input/output in FAMOUS®.
• Monitor FAMOUS® for changes, print pick tickets.
• Communicate order variances to supervisors.
• Ensure pick tickets and paperwork are attached to the correct BOLs.
• Distribute tallies and pick tickets; post on shipping board as trucks arrive.
• Generate pick tickets, resolve discrepancies, and complete revisions.
• Review customs documentation and communicate with brokers.
• Coordinate with sales on POs and drivers, reprint tickets as needed.
