Job summary

Transmaritime,-Inc. in Laredo, TX is hiring a Customer Service CFS Associate to ensure accurate data entry and help manage shipping documentation.

The role supports incoming and outgoing shipments, verifies details against bills of lading and invoices, and maintains cargo inventory in the warehouse. The position runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST with a 40-hour work week and weekly payroll; candidates should be comfortable working with various departments and data-entry

Qualifications

• Proficient data entry using standard procedures.
• Experience preparing bills of lading and shipping manifests.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
• Processes information from different departments and customers, and resolves data inconsistencies.
• Requests additional information for incomplete documents.
• Enters data into document formats received electronically or handwritten.
• Prepares all shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests in the system.
• Maintains inventory of shipments/cargo on-hand in the warehouse.
• Uses computer systems and related tech to track goods.
• Deciphers illegible handwriting and converts to digital data.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Double checks system information for errors before submitting reports to customers.
• Accesses online browser-based systems for data entry.
• Ensures completion of data entry within timeframes.
• Inputs data into computer programs for future use.
• Adheres to safety protocols and PPE requirements; promotes safety culture.
