Job summary

RJW Transport, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support warehouse operations, process customer orders, and coordinate with drivers and dock staff. The role emphasizes accurate paperwork and timely communication to ensure customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will type at least 40 wpm and have 1–2 years of clerical experience, plus basic transportation and shipping knowledge. This is an on-site position supporting our logistics team.

Qualifications

• Must type at least 40 wpm.
• 1–2 years of clerical experience.
• Basic transportation, logistics, and shipping experience.

Responsibilities

• Check in all drivers.
• Print shipping paperwork.
• Coordinate with the dock and the drivers on the door they will be loading product in.
• Ensure all paperwork is properly signed by the pickup driver.
• Close loads in the system.
• Coordinate with Customer Service Teams regarding special paperwork for certain orders such as international orders and customers that prefer special BOLs.
• Enter customer orders and scan/index documents as required.
• Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW Transport, Inc.
• Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Recommend improvements and implement approved improvements.
• Update reports as required by operations manager and COO.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
