The Advance Group has partnered with a plastics company in Addison, MI who is looking for a Shipping Clerk to lead their shipping department. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and organizing all outgoing materials. The ideal candidate will possess Forklift experience and good computer skills within shipping software.



Responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk:

• Received purchased materials, components and supplies.
• Conducts first stage receiving inspections in accordance with quality system procedures and applicable inspection plans.
• Ships finished product in accordance with shipping plans.
• Interfaces with freight companies and drivers to ensure timely dispatch of shipments.
• Prepares shipping documents including: bills of lading, packing lists, product certification documents, shipping labels, etc.
• Conducts monthly inventory cycle counts as directed.

Requirements of the Shipping Clerk:

• Basic Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word experience is a plus.
• Prior ERP or MRP systems experience is a plus.
• Must be proficient with using a tape measure to within 1/16”.
• Ability to use common hand tools and to setup and operate various common power tools and production equipment.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Ability to read and comprehend production documents and simple mechanical drawings is a plus.
• Ability to operate a Forklift.

Hours for the Shipping Clerk:

• First Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm
• Must be available for OT

Pay for the Shipping Clerk:

• $20-22/hr based on experience
