The Terminal Operator at Sprout is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ITAD terminal, overseeing receipt, storage, and dispatch of electronic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Driver Coordination: Greet truck drivers, verify load numbers, and manage documentation.
2. Receiving and Dispatching Equipment: Oversee the handling of electronic equipment, ensuring proper procedures and documentation.
3. Document Management: Organize and manage relevant documents properly.
4. Data Collection and Entry: Collect and input data accurately.
5. Product Verification: Inspect and verify equipment against Bills of Lading (BOLs), taking pictures for documentation.
6. Customer Requirements: Ensure customer-specific needs are met during handling.
7. Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts, manage stock, and perform outbound scanning and sealing.
8. Load Status Updates: Keep the system updated with real-time load statuses.
9. Safety Compliance: Conduct safety checks and drills regularly.
10. Quality Control: Perform quality checks to ensure standards are met.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Preferred: Experience in IT asset disposition (ITAD) or similar environments.
• Required: Experience in inventory management or related fields.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Recognize various consumer and commercial electronics.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic, Excel, and inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency highly desired.
• High situational awareness with a focus on safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends if needed.

Education/Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
