Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Associate for a permanent onsite role in Hanover, MD. The position involves operating forklifts and warehouse equipment, picking and staging orders, and ensuring accurate inventory movement.

You will use RF and barcode scanners and Oracle EBS to transact inventory, inspect materials for quality, and perform cycle counts to support accuracy and compliance. The role requires reliability for overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Job description

Shipping and Receiving Associate

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks, reach trucks, and hand carts to move materials and finished goods.
• Accurately pick, stage, and prepare production orders based on work order requirements.
• Follow warehouse processes for pallet selection, product segregation, labeling, and special handling.
• Perform inventory transactions using RF scanners, barcode scanners, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Oracle EBS.
• Inspect products for quality issues and report discrepancies to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct cycle counts, inventory audits, and support inventory reconciliation activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse operations experience.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks, or reach trucks.
• Experience using Oracle EBS or similar Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Proficiency with RF and barcode scanning devices.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong ability to manage inventory, material movement, and order fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Willingness to cross-train in Receiving, Inventory Control, and other warehouse functions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 45 lbs.
• Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM 2:00 PM.
• Availability for overtime, weekend, and holiday shifts based on business needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $47840.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
