Job summary

CMC is seeking a hands-on team member in Durant, OK. You’ll participate in safety programs, maintain clean work areas, and operate production equipment in a fast-paced environment. Training and advancement opportunities accompany competitive compensation.

You’ll remove side boards, prepare trailers for outbound deliveries, manage inventory layouts, and assist with loading shipments. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and working a rotating schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic.
• Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust, and noise.
• Ability to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold safety culture.
• Perform daily housekeeping and keep immediate work area clean.
• Operate production machines and mobile equipment per procedures.
• Remove side boards and prepare trailers for outbound deliveries.
• Understand inventory processes, warehouse locations, and bin layouts.
• Load and secure bundles, read pick tickets, and place items for shipping.

What You’ll Do

• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture


• Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area


• Work safely at all times by following safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirements


• Remove side boards from road trailers and prepare trailers for outbound deliveries


• Understand inventory processes, warehouse locations, and bin layouts


• Attend required equipment training and operate production machines and mobile equipment (forklift, yard truck, etc.) in accordance with established procedures


• Guide, position, and land bundles; procure and place dunnage; place items according to width, length, size, etc, to best secure loads and utilize space; load material onto a specified car, trailer, or truck


• Properly read and execute \"pick ticket\" loading instructions and recognize the distinction between products


• Placed finished product on trucks for shipping and scan tags on trucks

What You’ll Need

• Basic computer skills


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs


• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills


• Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces


• Ability to work a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays


• Ability to work overtime when required


• Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
