Job summary

Talentify is hiring a Shipper / Shipping & Receiving Associate in Norwood, MA, with a planned relocation to Franklin, MA (Forge Parkway) before year-end 2026. Hours are 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with potential for an early shift.

You will receive, inspect, stage, and ship materials, build pallets, operate forklifts, and ensure inventory accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Relocation move to Franklin will occur, and candidates must be willing to transfer.

Qualifications

  • ERP or warehouse management system experience, including inventory transaction processing.
  • Cycle count and inventory auditing experience.
  • Pallet building and crating experience, particularly for large equipment and machinery.
  • Manufacturing warehouse experience and familiarity with production support activities.
  • Experience with UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipping software and processes.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • OSHA safety training or experience working in safety-focused environments.
  • Mechanical aptitude helpful for handling equipment shipments and understanding industrial components.
  • Experience in roles such as Warehouse Associate, Material Handler, Shipping Clerk, Receiving Clerk, Inventory Associate, Distribution Associate, Production Support Associate, or Forklift Operator.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
  • Verify packing lists, purchase orders, and shipment documentation against incoming materials.
  • Pick and stage materials for production teams to ensure on-time support of manufacturing operations.
  • Package and prepare outbound customer shipments, including labeling, documentation, and carrier preparation.
  • Build and crate pallets for large equipment shipments, ensuring secure and safe packaging.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment to move products and equipment throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with inventory management, including inventory transaction processing and cycle counts.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by recording movements, adjustments, and transactions in ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to support efficient material flow and easy access to inventory.
  • Support production teams by moving materials, components, and finished goods between warehouse and production areas.
  • Follow lean manufacturing and 5S principles where applicable to maintain an organized and efficient work area.
  • Use UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipping systems to process shipments and generate shipping labels and documentation.
  • Assist with pallet building, crate construction, and packaging for large industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Adhere to OSHA and internal safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Participate in inventory audits and inventory accuracy initiatives to minimize discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to coordinate material availability and shipment timing.

Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, inventory, or warehouse operations.
  • Hands‑on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including processing inbound and outbound shipments, verifying orders, labeling packages, and preparing customer shipments.
  • Material handling and inventory control experience, including moving products throughout a warehouse and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Experience with picking, packing, and staging materials to support production or distribution operations.
  • Forklift operating experience with frequent movement of pallets, equipment, and materials; prior certification is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical warehouse work, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and routinely lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail to prevent inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and incorrect component staging.
  • Stable work history in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain an orderly warehouse.
  • Reliable transportation, including to the future Franklin, MA location.
  • Good communication skills for coordination with production, purchasing, and logistics teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwood, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
