Job summary

BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Work Authorization Coordinator to manage the WAF process for Navy vessel repair projects in San Diego. You will coordinate with Ship’s Force, Trades, and Subcontractors to ensure compliance with JFMM and assist in resolving tag-out conflicts.

The role requires reading technical documents, managing Electronic-Tag data, and training personnel on WAF procedures, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3 years work experience or equivalent.
• Familiar with JFMM, TUM, NAVSEA requirements and Standard Items.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Visio).
• Able to read/interpret technical documents and navigate Electronic-Tag databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, oversee, and enforce the WAF process for Navy ship repair availabilities.
• Ensure Trades/Subcontractors follow JFMM guidelines.
• Verify that WAFs are generated correctly and complete.
• Serve as liaison between Ship’s Force and Repair Activities for WAF processing.
